When the UK Parliament wishes to legislate using a UK Bill on a subject matter which has already been devolved to the Senedd, convention requires it to receive the consent of the Senedd before it may pass the legislation in question.
Standing Order 29 sets out the process to be followed, which involves the tabling of a legislative consent motion seeking the Senedd’s agreement to what is included in the UK Bill within devolved areas.
The following UK Bills have been subject to the legislative consent process under Standing Order 29 during the Sixth Senedd. Full details of that consideration including the timetable for Scrutiny from Business Committee and the outcome of any scrutiny by Plenary or Committees can be found on the page that follows for each individual UK Bill.
